Intel today tried to take a breath some life into a device category that’s not specifically productive ground: the desktop computer COMPUTER.

Just how is it being transformed? “The desktop computer has gone from merely an off-white tower to all these new [designs]: touch, 170+ desktop [all-in-one] concentrated applications,” an Intel representative told CNET.
In the GDC release, Intel goes on to mention “little PCs,” little Steambox gaming systems, and portable AIO (all-in-one) Computers in the kitchen as reinvention.
Probably better, nevertheless, to call it a tweak to the desktop computer PC’s internals, a minimum of as for Intel is concerned. Those adjustments include the chipmaker’s initial 8-core processor for gaming rigs.
